Anaerobic digestion processes offer the possibility for wastewater treatment while obtaining a benefit through obtained biogas. This paper aims to continue effort adopt data-driven control methods in case of anaerobic processes. The proposes data-based Internal Model Control approach applied an process. deals extensively with issue choosing reference model and proposing engineering this issue. also addresses verifying robust stability, very important aspect considering uncertainties that characterize bioprocesses general. proposed is validated numerical simulation using Digestion No. 1. During validation solution, main operating conditions were analyzed, such as setpoint tracking performance, rejection disturbance generated by variations influent concentration, effect measurement noise on controlled variable.

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION Monitoring and Control
Anaerobic digestion is an old biological wastewater treatment process, having first been studied more than a century ago. It is a multistep process in which organic matter is degraded into a gas mixture of methane and carbon dioxide by microorganisms. It thus reduces the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) of the influent and produces valuable energy (methane). The biological scheme involves several m...
متن کاملA Data-driven Method for Crowd Simulation using a Holonification Model
In this paper, we present a data-driven method for crowd simulation with holonification model. With this extra module, the accuracy of simulation will increase and it generates more realistic behaviors of agents. First, we show how to use the concept of holon in crowd simulation and how effective it is. For this reason, we use simple rules for holonification. Using real-world data, we model the...
متن کاملGaussian Process for Internal Model Control
Abstract — To improve transparency and reduce the curse of dimensionality of non–linear black–box models, the local modelling approach was proposed. Poor transient response of Local Model networks led to the use of non–parametrical probabilistic models such as the Gaussian Process prior approach. Recently, Gaussian Process models were applied in the Minimum Variance Control. This paper introduc...
متن کاملpresenting a model of fuzzy statistical process control with fuzzy mode method to control product defects
the classical control charts by using precise and specified data divide the production process into two groups: in-control or out of control, while the fuzzy sets with the definition continuous and cohesive membership functions and also using ambiguous and vague fuzzy numbers (triangular and trapezoid), it introduces different levels of decisions for the decision makers. in this paper, using th...
متن کاملAn Approach towards Multivariable Control of Anaerobic Digestion using the EPSAC Predictive Control Strategy
Energy from biomass and waste is regarded as one of the most dominant future renewable energy sources to comply with a continuous power demand. In this context, anaerobic digestion (AD) is emerging in control engineering applications at a spectacular pace. The necessity for advanced control of AD systems is motivated by the challenges of the process in terms of instability problems, especially ...
